Newscasts

World War II Daily newscasts are day-by-day audio-visual accounts of important events occurring in every day of the Second World War.  Stories are pulled from the news sources of the day-newspapers, magazines, newsreels-as is, without offering interpretation.  Thus, you get the news as it was reported to your parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, with the benefit of pictures and the latest digital technology to enhance the sound they received.  The goal is to give you the war in a way you've never experienced it.

Your anchor for this blend of the old and new is radio personality and historian Dave Cox.  Over the next six years, he will be joined by celebrity correspondents to re-create the cutaways of an actual wartime news broadcast and to enliven the fun.
